Live Event – UW Immunology Research Presents

We’re pleased to invite you to a live presentation and discussion with members of the University of Washington’s Department of Immunology, June 17, 11:00 am via Zoom. These researchers are working on the innate immune system, which is important for the earliest events in detecting infection, and how small changes in our genome can make us susceptible to viral infections. This presentation will highlight some of the work being done in these two labs, and will give you the opportunity to discuss questions you have with the scientists engaged in this research. The panel will include two members of the University of Washington’s Dept. of Immunology.
Following a brief presentation by Dr. Dan Stetson, and Dr. Ram Savan we will open the floor for your questions. We look forward to seeing you on June 17, 11:00 am. To attend, please register at this link and the Zoom info will be emailed to you.
Associate Professor Daniel Stetson, Ph.D. will discuss how to trigger inflammation inside tumors to improve cancer therapy. You can learn more about the Stetson Lab here. Associate Professor
Ram Savan, Ph.D.,
will discuss how human genetics determines the susceptibility to viral infections. You can learn more about the Ram Lab here.
